Hey, it's James.

I've been sitting on this for a while and I'm a little nervous and a lot excited to finally say it.

Boring Funnels is live today. 🎉

It's the thing I built for myself when AI kept handing me pages that looked great and sold nothing. Here it is in one minute:

Watch the video: Your agent can build anything. Except a page that sells.

Where this came from

It started as a frustration you've probably felt too. You've seen great funnels. AG1. Hormozi. Probably one that got you to buy something yourself.

The page is good, the copy is good, and the free thing, the offer and the follow-up emails all line up so that buying feels like the obvious next step.

I've spent years building those for clients. So when coding agents got good, I figured I'd have mine build them for me.

It didn't go well. I'd spend weeks going back and forth on my page, my offer and my copy. I tried the frontier models and my best skills, and I kept getting the same tidy page that guessed at what sells.

Then it clicked. The model could write fine. It had just never seen what a working funnel looks like after the first screen: the page after the button, the eleven emails, the reason each step is there. Nobody had shown it.

So I stopped prompting and started collecting. I gathered the best funnels, pages and emails I could find and wired them into my coding agent, so it could build from real ones.

The output got so much better that I couldn't keep it to myself. That's Boring Funnels.

Boring Funnels: Direct-response judgment. Agent-speed execution.

How it works

1. The free library. Every week we take apart one real funnel whose ads are still running, from the ad to the last email. This week it's a guitar teacher whose ad has been running for 476 days, with 11 emails in the 7 days after you sign up. You see every step and why it's there, and one button copies the whole thing as a prompt for your agent. It's free and there's no card.

2. The paid kit. This plugs into the coding agent you already use (Claude Code, Codex and others) and puts the whole library to work. You can build a funnel, improve one page, audit your site or rewrite your copy. It recommends where to start and tells you why. You make the calls, and it writes the pages and the emails and takes them live. One flat annual fee.

What I'd do with it

  • Build funnels for local service businesses. They get a page that brings in calls and a clearer offer, and you get a service you can deliver fast. I'm running a dedicated workshop on this soon.

  • Make your own project sell. Building is the easy part now. Getting people to want to buy is where most projects stall.

  • Become the direct-response person at your company. When the next campaign launches, you're the one who knows what goes on the page and what goes in the emails.

Here's how I put it on X today:

Post from @boringmarketer: if you can build funnels that convert you can basically write your own ticket as a marketing engineer

Greg beat me to it this morning

My partner Greg Isenberg published a big piece on X today about the rise of the marketing engineer. He wrote:

❝

One shortcut that helps a lot: start from a funnel that's already working. My partner hasn't publicly talked about it much but @BoringMarketer just launched Boring Funnels, which breaks down a real, live funnel every week, from the ad to the last email, and turns each step into a prompt you can hand to your coding agent. It's a much better starting point than a blank page.

Greg Isenberg

He's right that I've been quiet about it. I wanted it to be good before I showed you. The whole article is worth your coffee, by the way.

What early testers said

A few community members have been building with an early version:

Ann Marie Almariei: So excited for this. Having played with an early version I can confirm this is a game changer for anyone who needs to spin up funnels that convert.
Daniel Blakely: I've enjoyed the early version as well, super easy and super fast and super good.

Start with the free one

Go get this week's funnel. It costs nothing, it takes an email address, and you'll know in ten minutes whether this is for you.

If you're in the Boring Marketing Community, read my post from today before you check out. I left something in there just for members. 🤫

And if you're not in yet, 2,500+ founders and marketers are in there building with this stuff. Come build with us.

I really think this one is going to help a lot of you, and I hope you love it.

Build something with it, then hit reply and show me. I read every response.

Keep it boring,
James
